Num-Num Lodge is a private lodge situated in the Nkumbe Wildlife Estate. The estate comprises 250 hectares of pristine bush located behind the primary dune, 5 km north of Ponta do Ouro and 1 km south of Ponta Malongane. It is enclosed by a game fence with a controlled entrance and gate house.
Accommodation comprises a central living area including a lounge, dining area and kitchen which leads onto a beautiful deck with an outdoor dining table and a sitting area. The house features two bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms, both equipped with ceiling fans. The furnishings are tasteful and the lodge is well-equipped for self-catering.
The estate offers mains power, however power cuts can occur and guests are advised to bring torches and lamps. The lodge is equipped with a gas hob with an electric oven, and water is supplied from boreholes. The water has a slight discolouration, so guests may like to take their own water for drinking.
The estate rules will be in a folder in the lodge. Although they must be strictly adhered to, they are in accordance with general requirements in game reserves and are there to protect the environment, fauna and flora and to enhance the enjoyment of guests who appreciate living with nature. Apart from mammals already on the estate, which include common and red duiker, vervet monkeys, samango monkeys, bush babies and genets, further introductions include impala, zebra, nyala and common reedbuck, all of which have settled in well.

Fun: For those wanting some fun in the evening, head for Ponta do Oura and join the mostly South African holidaymakers in the pubs, clubs and restaurants. The pubs in Ponta Malongane are also good fun but less sophisticated.
African Safari: Num-Num Lodge is unique in that it is situated in a wildlife estate, home to common and red duiker, impala, nyala, reedbuck and zebra together with vervet and samango monkeys. Further introductions are planned for 2012.
Beach: There are dive centres and launch sites at Ponta Malongane and Ponta do Ouro. The game fishing and reef diving are superb. On the ocean safaris, one can see hump back whales, whale sharks and manta rays.
Great Outdoors: Take a pair of binoculars and your bird book and enjoy strolling along the roads around the estate. Human pedestrians and wild animals have right of way on the roads in the estate.
Honeymoon Romance: For nature-loving honeymooners, this is the place to be. Have the lodge to yourselves and enjoy the peace and privacy of the bush.
Relaxation: The lodge is set on the edge of a clearing in the Nkumbe Wildlife Estate. It is isolated from other properties providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. A waterhole has been created in front of the lodge which, in time, will attract wildlife.
