Nkwathle Bush Camp

Description

Nestled between the world-famous Kruger National Park and plantations, the natural design of Nkwathle Bush Camp has a low impact on the environment, and one can feel the true spirit of conservation. Nkwathle Bush Camp is a camping ground available to those wishing to camp in their own tents, or in our tented accommodation, perfectly suited for overlanders.

Guests may bring their own tents, but if required, tents can be supplied upon request equipped with mattresses, duvets, pillows, linen, and towels. An ablution facility is available and dinner and breakfasts can also be provided. Guests need to please be aware that caravans do not have access to the campsite, and therefore Nkwathle Bush Camp cannot cater for such vehicles.

The bush camp consists of a central boma fire area with seating and a tented bar area serving refreshing drinks; kick back on a bean bag and enjoy the daily happy hour cocktails. The boma area is also the hosting place for cultural events, such as traditional African dancing, and servings of traditional African meals - bookings are essential. The beach bar also serves as an Internet cafe for guests' convenience. The cultural boma houses a fully equipped kitchen, where the meals are prepared, and can be used by guests on arrangement. On hot days or after a full day of activity, guests can take a dip in the cool rock pool. In addition, game drives to the Kruger can be arranged.

Things to do the area: Enjoy the day in the Kruger National Park 13 km to Phabeni Gate and 20 km to Numbi Gate. Discover the Panorama Route and the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest Canyon on Earth and it may be the largest green Canyon 50 km. Restaurants and shopping mall in Hazyview 4 to 8 km from Numbi Park. Take a drive to Hoedspruit 80 km from Hazyview and visit the Cheetah and two golf courses 10 km from Bush Camp.

A Bush Camp second to none - with a wonderful ambience and the most breathtaking views imaginable. Dagmar and Deon are wonderful hosts and make you feel so welcome. Bomas, lush vegetation, a beautiful dam and rock pool all in one Bush Camp - fantastic and not commercialized - everything is natural as a bush camp should be. We will certainly be back!
Bliss!

I would like to thank Dagmar and Deon for a wonderful time at Nkwathle! It is an amazing place, something fresh and different and very well run! Dagmar and Deon will do everything to make you feel at home and help out with anything that may be needed. The camp is well placed and laid out and the atmosphere is brilliant. I will gladly recommend Nkwathle to anybody that want to spend some time in the area. Thanks again Dagmar and Deon!

Nkwathle Bush Camp is amazing, a definate must. The camp is located on stunning grounds that are very well looked after with a low impact on the environment. The camp is very close to a shopping centre, the Kruger National Park (Phabeni Gate 15 km) and many other recreational activities. Camping under the shady litchi trees made it very comfortable for us to sleep in or have a nap in the day. The open-air showers and bathrooms were always very clean and a pleasure to use.
