We have never done safari before so it was quiet a different experience for us, we experienced safari at its best i think. when we arrived were welcomed so warmly by Chris he was really accommodating. its quiet nice to get to a place and feel the people were expecting you so we had a nice time. There was also another guy there i cnt recall his name he was also very friendly showed us beautiful photos of the leopards and fixed our warm water problems that we had so it was really rema ... more

Excellent stay
We have been staying in the lodge for 4 nights during the mids of August 2008, and we have had an excellent stay. As we were looking for a small camp , with personal attention, and the " save wild animals " cruising around our tents this was excellent. It's not the place where your looking for people to entertain you, but it fore those who are appreciate good food ,privacy ,and a campfire , to review the daily adventures.

I was very impressed with Njovu Kruger Game Lodge. It was an intimate and private setting with wildlife roaming around us-literally! The host, Anna, was entertaining and catered to our every need. Breakfast and dinner were impeccable. Njovu is a very comfortable, beautiful,tranquil and luxurious yet rustic lodge. I would rate Njovu 5/5.

You will see all of the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo) in the wild on your open vehicle Safari. There is an abundance of Wildlife in the southern sector of the Kruger National Park. In total there is 500 species of birdlife and 147 species of mammals in the Kruger National Park. Our Tented Chalets feature air conditioning, fans, Heaters, mosquito nets and a safe. Each Tented Chalet overlooks it's own private watering hole within the camp where animals come to drink daily. Dining in elegance by candle - light on the Sala-deck, while the sounds of the African bush create a magical night, broken only by the splashing of water as the animals arrive to drink under the cover of darkness. What Does "Njovu" mean? The Unstoppable One African people regard the Elephant with a very deep reverence. The Zulu, Tswana and Tsonga names for the elephant all mean "the forceful one", "the unstoppable one". In Zulu the name for an elephant is indlovu, from the verb dlovu, which means to "crash through", "to pierce savagely". The Tsonga word njovu also carry this meaning. Several Tsonga idioms provide food for thought: "ku ba ndlopfu hi xibakele" translates to "hit an Elephant with a fist", i.e. "to make a very slight impression". "Nkari wa mahlemba - ndlopfu" means "the time of the Elephants bath", i.e. "the early hours before dawn
