New Mwanza Hotel is in the heart of Mwanza and only a 1.5 km from shores of Lake Victoria, which is the largest lake in Africa. The hotel is the ideal base from which to discover some of the most impressive natural scenery and wildlife the area has to offer.

The hotel offers Standard Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and a number of suites. Meals are available at either the coffee shop which offers delicious pastries, or at one of two restaurants offering a variety of both local and international cuisines. The hotel has a sports bar, discotheque and the only casino in town.

This large hotel has a modern equipped gym, a state-of-the-art swimming pool and a massage therapist upon request. Also within the hotel premises is a shopping arcade that consists of travel agent offices, Bureau de change, jewellery shop, gift shop and a conference facility.

The hotel was built in the early 70s as part of Tanzania Tourism which is owned by the government. The hotel was privatized in the early 80s and has recently been renovated; it now offers modern luxuries and facilities.
