Description
Ndzalama Wildlife Reserve is an 8000-hectare private wildlife reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Situated in the Valley of the Olifants, about 55 km outside of Tzaneen and 80 km outside of Phalaborwa, it is one of the Kruger National Park’s busiest entry points.
Experience the luxury of Ndzalama Lodge where six beautifully appointed chalets nestle amongst large granite boulders. These stone and thatch chalets melt into the supreme surroundings, and comforts such as air-conditioners, oval baths and outside showers add a touch of elegance. Each chalet has a private verandah where the only view is that of indigenous bush and often a herd of nyala or impala grazing nearby. Leopard Rock Bush Camp is a more rustic bush camp that provides facilities for groups of up to 12 guests on a self-catering basis. The camp perches on a rocky outcrop that offers beautiful views of prime land.
The park is home to four of the Big 5 with elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and the beautiful sable antelope. A wide variety of other game such as giraffe, zebra and nyala roam the reserve which makes game drives on open vehicles an exciting event. It is a birdwatcher's paradise and one of the few locations in South Africa where the arnott’s chat may be found.
All guests have access to the authentic rock pool and spacious lounge and dining areas, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. A cosy bar and open boma complete the unique backdrop for unwinding and allowing the ancient rhythms of Africa to pulse through one’s veins.
