Ndabiri No.1 and No.4

Ndabiri is a complex of chalets situated on Msuna Island, about two hours’ drive from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Msuna Island is tucked away against the backdrop of the peaceful and scenic semi-arid Msuna Hills.

Our elegant accommodation consists of two separate chalets set in the Ndabiri complex on Msuna Island. Built of stone and thatch roofing, the chalets are dressed up in splendour that will meet all your expectations. Chalet No.1 contains one bedroom and is also known as the honeymoon chalet, and Chalet No.4 has two bedrooms. Each chalet overlooks the mighty Zambezi River and is a detached, self-contained unit, with en-suite facilities. The bedrooms and lounges have air-conditioning and there are also ceiling fans throughout the chalets.

A cook and housekeeper are available and a laundry service is provided, which is included in our rates. There is also ample space for braaiing and entertaining at the lapa and boma on the banks of the Zambezi, great for relaxing after a long day in the African sun.

Other facilities available are boat or pontoon hire, skipper hire, boat fuel and oil sales, a small shop with basic supplies, a laundry service, communal swimming pool, children's playground and jungle gym, and a vegetable patch with seasonal vegetables for sale. Mopane firewood and a variety of limited mixers, soft drinks, beers and liquor are also available for sale.

The area is renowned for fishing, especially the ferocious Tiger fish, as well as for bird-watching and hiking, and is also a photographers’ paradise. Ndabiri is an ideal place to relax with the family or to do some serious fishing on the mighty Zambezi River. Please note that the entry fee for Msuna Island, fishing permits and National Parks permits are not included in our rates.

Msuna Island is located on the Zambezi River and is accessible by vehicle. It is only cut off from the mainland during very high water. There are approximately 20 other privately owned lodges and houses on the island, set amongst beautifully kept gardens with a variety of indigenous fauna and flora.
