Description

Natal Spa Hot Springs & Leisure Resort is situated on the road between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg on the Battlefields Route. Famed for its hot mineral waters, the resort has access to about four kilometers of the Bivane River flowing through the property.

Facilities in the hotel include a spacious dining room and terrace offering lovely views of the garden and pool areas. Buffet breakfasts and dinners as well as a ‘la Carte dinners are served. Each room has tea/coffee making facilities and TV, offering 6 channels including M-Net. For the action-seeking adventurers, there are quad bike trails, squash, tennis, hiking, birding trails, mountain bike trails and fishing. The main attractions are of course the mineral water pools and a great 110m long super-tube.

To revitalize mind and body, there is the recent addition of the Wellness & Beauty Centre which consists of a sauna and plunge pool, two Jacuzzis, two steam rooms, a heated 24-jet hydrotherapy bath as well as a fully equipped gym with cardio circuit, weight training & mini juice bar. The resort is also fully equipped for wedding receptions, and has three well-equipped conference rooms accommodating between 10 – 120 delegates. Natal Spa Hot Springs & Leisure Resort holds a 3-star rating by the Tourism Grading Council.

The facilities offered are good. We were disappointed with housekeeping staff attitude as well as the room not being checked and ready. There was also a lot of litter in the grounds. The place needs maintenance.

The place was quiet because of the winter but we had sunny weather. It is a lovely place with nice warm pools. The kids loved the large water slide. It is a different and advisable place to stop over or stay for a longer period.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other people. Although I am not always eager to travel the distance via car, I must admit it was worth the 420 km from Durban. The facilities are excellent. Overall, a place worth visiting.

Natal Hot Springs is the most amazing place for a couple's retreat. The apartments are well furnished, comfortable and spacious. The Hot Spring pools are totally amazing are are really enjoyable at night when there is a slight chill in the air. I booked the stay as a means of allowing my wife to relax from the increased pressure she's been under as a first time mother... baby was not with by the way... Friendly staff, plenty of activities and great fun all round.
