Nestled on a hilltop, set within serene, indigenous gardens and affording panoramic views of the bay of Maputo and Ilha das Portugueses, Nahyeeni Lodge on Inhaca Island in Mozambique is your tropical island-style home from home. The perfect place to relax and unwind in your own complete privacy, Nahyeeni Lodge offers the ultimate getaway island experience from within a stone's throw of the capital city, Maputo. Inhaca now forms part of the newly established Marine Reserve stretching down south as far as Ponta D'Ouro, and the island already offers a number of world-renowned established reserves such as Portuguese Island, Coral Gardens and Ponta Torres, to name a few.

Nahyeeni Lodge is located within its own exclusively private grounds and currently offers self-catering facilities with the ability to accommodate up to a maximum of 10 adults and four children. Nahyeeni Lodge's main house, Beluga, features an imposing thatched roof incorporating two en-suite bedrooms, one with a double bed and a sumptuous bath, while the second bedroom offers two single beds with an en-suite shower.

A stunning open-plan, modern living room is complemented with truly outstanding panoramic views overlooking the bay of Maputo on the western side of Inhaca Island, and Maputo can be viewed twinkling in the distance some 40 km away. An upstairs area incorporates a further two single beds, with the bedroom affording incredible views of the interior of Inhaca Island as far away as the lighthouse on the northern tip. A cosy reading nook, with a small but fascinating library selection with particular emphasis on marine life, further enhances the upstairs facility. A full DStv bouquet, ice-making machine, fresh drinking water facility, tea, coffee, and a limited assortment of condiments are all available.

Privately nestled in the surrounding bush area you will find two open-plan, thatched cottages. The first cottage, Dugong, consists of a double bed with en-suite bathroom, while the second, Orca, has two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. Both of these cottages have access to a further bed within the cottage which can either sleep two children or an extra adult.

The entertainment area consists of a very large, fresh water swimming pool with a bar, barbecue, serving area, and open fire facilities, as well as a cosy thatched dining area located alongside, all conveniently overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean. Charcoal and firewood are complimentary. A wooden deck stretches out over the edge of the hill and splits into two areas; one has a private hammock to relax, while the other affords incredible panoramic views and sunsets that will remain embedded in your memory for years to come. Two maids and a maintenance man are available on duty, while two night guards oversee the property during the night hours.

Our experienced Marinheiro runs our 31-foot W31 Yamaha vessel which can be chartered at any time for your leisure. This can be used for transfers, fishing trips, whale watching in season, sunset cruises, and excursions to the various breathtaking destinations Inhaca has to offer.
