Mutarazi Cottages

Description

Muturazi Cottages are three luxury self-catering units set in parkland overlooking the Montane Forests of the Mutarazi Falls National Park in Nyanga. The cottages are fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, a toaster, fridge-freezer, electric stove as well as a microwave oven. Warm bedding with down duvets and extra blankets are supplied, but no towels are provided.

Each Cottage consists of an open-plan lounge, kitchen and large country-style dining room table. There is a Jetmaster fireplace and a cradle of firewood a day is included in the rate, but if more wood is required then an additional charge of $5.00 per bundle is charged. Guests are required to bring their own food, drinks and towels. We regret no dogs are allowed.

The downstairs bedroom has two bunk beds with an en-suite shower and toilet. Upstairs is called the Log Cabin Bedroom and it has twin beds which can be pushed together to form a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a Victorian bath. In addition, there is a private en-suite sauna and balcony overlooking the Montane Forest. There is an outdoor braai and outdoor furniture for entertainment and charcoal is available for sale.

Guests using the Mutarazi Falls Cottages have access to the Pungwe Drift picnic site and the Pungwe River for fly fishing which are not available to members of the public. Take a dip in the natural pools on the river. For the more adventurous, there is a rope course through the trees, abseiling, rock climbing, mountain bike trails, wild water rafting and kayaking.
