The concentration of game around the river and it’s ox bow lagoons is among the most intense in Africa and affords fantastic game viewing opportunities.
Mushroom Lodge offers comfortable, rustic but modern accommodation in twelve secluded thatched chalets, and Highly trained staff ensure the highest standards of hospitality and service at Mushroom Lodge and Presidential House, where your every whim is catered for.
The Lodge has a swimming pool overlooking the Lagoon which brings welcome relief when temperatures soar.
Guests can relax in the Nsaka with an entrance framed by Elephant Tusks of a size not seen anymore, It was from here that Dr. Kaunda consulted and made decisions that often had implications for the entire sub continent of Africa.
Guests can enjoy meals in the Dining area with uninterrupted views over the Lagoon, and often Dinners are served in the Boma under the stars. The Adjoining fully-stocked bar offers a variety of drinks for even the most discerning.

Mushroom Lodge offers comfortable, rustic but modern accommodation in twelve secluded thatched chalets.
Each chalet is well ventilated with large windows and high ceilings and decorated to create a rich African feel, and suite features include en-suite bathroom and indoor shower with a full range of amenities, separate toilet and an outside shower for complete comfort, a separate Lounge and private patio overlooking the Lagoon.
Mushroom Lodge is a child-friendly establishment, and offers interleading chalets for families.
