Mufindi Highland Lodge

Cool healthy mountain air, evenings around a log fire, trout fishing, horse riding and stunning scenery are just a few of the reasons for visiting the Highland Fishing Lodge high up on the Rift Valley escarpment.

Eight log cabins are available as either double or family rooms overlooking the lake and golf course. The rooms are en-suite with either a bath or shower and rooms are furnished with double or twin beds; extra beds are available at an additional rate if required. Also available is a honeymoon suite complete with log fire, as well as a two-bedroom chalet with en-suite bathrooms and an upstairs lounge. Tea and coffee is available all day and drinking water is provided. A complimentary laundry service is also offered.

The main house has a TV room with a pool table and a large lounge with log fire. Wonderful evening meals are prepared with fresh produce from the farm. After dinner you can enjoy your coffee in front of the fire in the downstairs lounge, or enjoy a nightcap upstairs in the bar.

Guests can enjoy activities like fly-fishing at the lakes stocked with Rainbow trout, horseback riding with a guide and, for the more adventurous, mountain biking at an altitude of 2000 m with plenty of ups and downs. A wide variety of birds are in the area and for the serious golfer an 18-hole course is 35 km away at Mufindi Club. A nine tee golf course is available below the farm.

Although not on the usual 'tourist' route, the Mufindi Highland Lodge offers its own brand of magic. Ideal for relaxing with a good book or burning off energy, there is something for everyone.
