This is the Mudlark River Front Lodge, a place of beauty peace & comfort. Whales, fish, fynbos & bird life surround you.Experience a soul rejuvenating getaway in the serenity & seclusion of the Mudlark Lodge, only 3 hours from Cape Town.Situated on a 22-hectare property (part of the Lower Breede River conservancy), & nestled on the river bank about 2kms from the tiny villages of Witsand & Infanta, both on the opposite banks of the river mouth. This situation is unique in that no other habitation can be seen & the lodge has magnificent views up & down the Estuary. The lodge faces north & is protected from the prevailing sea breezes, surrounded by fynbos on 3 sides & the river in front. Moorings & a private jetty are provided for guests use as well as the “Boat house” right on the water's edge. The Mudlark is owned & managed by your friendly hosts, Hilary & Tim. Both will go out of their way to make your stay relaxing & memorable The Mudlark consists of a central timber lodge containing the entertainment & dining areas. There is a lounge with a fireplace for those chilly winter evening. DSTV is provided.The communal dining area overlooks the river so it's a breakfast with a view. There is also a relaxing lounge with river views & a small congenial bar for guest use only, where one can spend the evening in the company of new found friends. Outside is a large covered leisure deck with exceptional views... laze the day away or enjoy sundowners as you watch the fiery sun dip behind the Potberg mountains. With accommodation for a maximum of 10 guests this is really getting away from the crowds. The five comfortable double rooms also of timber construction are sited on both sides of the main lodge & all have river views. The rooms contain single or double beds, all en suite. Each room is exquisitely decorated with delicate furnishings that will remind one of home. Great hospitality and individual service is what guests experience far away from home. Rates are per person sharing and are inclusive of a full English breakfast and 3 course dinner.

The five comfortable double rooms also of timber construction are sited on both sides of the main lodge & all have river views. The rooms contain single or double beds, all en suite. Each room is exquisitely decorated with delicate furnishings that will remind one of home Rooms 4 and 5 are large doubles with extra sleeper couches for the children and with elevated decks over looking the river.
Rates are per person sharing and are inclusive of a full English breakfast and 3 course dinner.
