Mowana Safari Lodge was built around a baobab tree said to be over 800 years old. It is situated on its own estate on the banks of the Chobe River, 8 km from the world-famous Chobe National Park. In this tranquil bush setting guests will experience true comfort, superb accommodation, fine cuisine and personalized service.

We offer 112 en-suite, air-conditioned luxury rooms and four suites that have been tastefully decorated in an ethnic style to complement the natural ambience. All suites face the mighty Chobe River and the game-rich bushveld. Both the Serondella restaurant and Savuti cocktail bar overlook the Chobe River and the Namibian flood plains. These are ideal places from which to watch the abundant wildlife gather at twilight.

Activities at Mowana include golf on a nine-hole course, tennis, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, tiger fishing, bird-watching and game-viewing on a river cruiser or in open vehicles with expert game rangers and trackers. Guests can also enjoy sunset cruises, trips to, and helicopter viewing of, the Victoria Falls, and river rafting on the Zambezi.
