Moonriver Bush Bungalows

Moonriver Bush Bungalows is nestled on the edge of a secluded valley in the heart of the Waterberg Plateau of Limpopo, South Africa. This self-catering lodge is located on a private 380-hectare game farm and is an easy two-and-ahalf hour drive from Pretoria or a quick 45-minute flight using our bush airstrip.

With its temperate climate, warm sunny winter days and pleasant summers, Moonriver Bush Bungalows is the place to relax and unwind. This peaceful haven is home to abundant and varied birdlife, a must for the avid twitcher. Those interested in walking and hiking will enjoy tracking the game and identifying the wide variety of fauna and flora that occur here, while our inky black night skies are spectacular to say the least; a perfect place for astronomy buffs.

Family run, your hosts' love of the bush and adventuring comes through in their welcome. Andrew’s zest for the bush can be traced back to his grandparents, who intrepidly travelled the African continent in the mid-1900s in a little Ford Prefect and a very snazzy Chev.

Moonriver offers four private bungalows, each with an open-plan bedroom and lounge area and an en-suite bathroom. Each room is tastefully appointed with an open fireplace, ceiling fan, private deck, fridge, and a tea and coffee station. All en-suite bathrooms feature a bath and shower and loo with a view.

The bungalows have been designed with total glass frontage to take maximum advantage of the breathtaking view and are situated away from the main lodge entertainment area, ensuring maximum privacy.
