05 January 2015

Breakfast was perfect, boat cruise was joyful, driving on the mountain is an experience of its own, other than that there is nothing really. Don't spend more than 3 nights in that area.

06 January 2014

The rooms were perfect, the view from our window was majestic. It was a wonderful experience waking up to the sound of distant cattle bells and villagers chanting. The whole Mohale crew was warm and welcoming and in some instances will even go out of their way to assist. Then the boat cruise was just the cherry on top...If it wasn't for the adrenaline, curvy roads, I would go there every holiday!

05 November 2013

Had a great stay at Mohale Lodge with friendly and helpful staff. A boat cruise with Jeff at the dam was quite an experience! Would go back to the place anytime.

25 September 2013

We were pleasantly surprised and had a good night at Mohale Lodge - clean comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Just felt that 160 pp for the meagre and rather basic buffet was somewhat excessive, but there are no alternatives nearby.

07 January 2013

Tranquillity at its best. A great place in the mountains away from the city to clear the mind.

1 review

Groenkloof 4x4 is in a valley at the foot of Viervoetberg, in the Eastern Free State. The farm offers tracks for quad bikes, mountain bikes and 4x4s. The tracks cross each other but are clearly marked so that nobody gets lost. The 4x4 trail is...

The Mud Studio

Shop in Ladybrand (22.3 km from Maseru)

A visit to The Mud Studio just outside Ladybrand is a well worth detour to make. Werner and Philippa du Toit are two very talented artists. They have won much international acclaim. The factory shop offers some beautiful pieces to take back home.

Pony Trekking

Popular Attraction in Malealea (53 km from Maseru)

No visit to Lesotho would be complete without a pony trek. It is the transport of choice for most Basotho as the sturdy ponies handle the narrow trails better than any 4X4 can. Pony treks can be arranged in the morning or the afternoon. Beginner...
