Relaxing weekend
The highlight of the weekend was the Spa and the Carnivore restaurant. The breakfast at the Summerhouse was divine. On the whole it was a very relaxing weekend. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Everything was very good, neat and tidy.the only problem we had was that we had to wait nearly two hours after 14h00 to get into our rooms

Description
Here, in the heart of the artistic belt known as the Crocodile Ramble, lies the four star Misty Hills Country Hotel and Conference Centre, set in lush landscaped gardens displaying an abundance of indigenous plants and birdlife. Beyond the city’s leafy suburbs, concrete gives way to an alluring green belt and is guaranteed to delight the most discerning guest seeking comfort and tranquillity. Misty Hills is ideally positioned – just 30 minutes from Johannesburg and 45 minutes from Pretoria. Misty Hills Country Hotel offers 20 venues , from The Pelindaba Conference and Exhibition Centre able to seat 600 people cinema style to Zebra boardroom that seats 10. All types of functions are catered for from sit down dinners for up to 400 down to intimate dinners for two in private suites. Menus are limited by the customer’s imagination. Pelindaba: For centuries Indunas (Tribal Chiefs) have gathered at unique places to make important decisions. If the meeting had to be quick, the leaders chose an austere, harsh spot. If the outcome was to be one of grandeur, the site would reflect that concept. The site chosen always represented the importance of the outcome and for a grand decision, this meeting place was bestowed with the title 'Pelindaba'. The Pelindaba Conferencing and Exhibition Centre is fully air-conditioned and displays great versatility; a sliding acoustic wall can convert the venue into two completely separate sections, while a 3,5 metre door facilitates the bringing in of large equipment or products - for example a car for a product launch. The Tusker Pavilion: A versatile venue with a raised stage area, ideal for weddings, private functions, presentations or small conferences. The pavilion adjoins a pool terrace where guests can enjoy a buffet meal or a typical South African braai around the sparkling pool. The Boma Restaurant: Recently revamped with stunning roofed-in area, accommodating up to 200 people and offering uniquely African ambience for relaxed informal buffets and braais, or more formal functions, around a central fire. The Nyala, Springbok and Impala: These conference rooms can seat up to 120 people each cinema style or 80 banquet style. The Lapa: An open air venue with a fringe of thatch for relaxed informal buffets and braais around a central fire. Accommodating up to 150 people The Carnivore Restaurant: Carnivore's unique dining concept is truly "Africa's Greatest Eating Experience". Guests enter over a teak walkway surrounded by indigenous gardens, water features and a large koi pond, through a magnificent carved door and into the "Hall of Kings" which gives diners a taste of African tradition. CONFERENCE AT THE CARNIVORE! The Carnivore has recently launched 4 new conference venues. Delegates can now enjoy the Carnivore menu - buffet style. This truly African concept is guaranteed to excite even the most seasoned conference goers. Other Venues: Include Reedbuck, Hartebeest (up to 30 delegates) to name a few. Contact our sales team for more information Peregrine Castle: You think of the celebration – and we’ll create the “magic”. With its cobbled stone entrance, black-beamed roof and sturdy wooden furniture, Peregrine Castle, situated in the grounds of Misty Hills Country Hotel and Conference Centre, conjures up a world of fantasy, fairytales and fun! Cross over the drawbridge, past the water-spouting dragons’ heads, step into the great hall and approach the King’s throne and enter into the spirit of this unique venue which is ideal for Children’s birthday parties Team building exercises Theme conferences or parties Corporate functions Birthday or anniversary celebrations Dress up – or dress down; medieval attire in keeping with the surrounds, fancy dress, black tie or laid-back and relaxed smart casual – the choice is yours! Facilities include a slide, jungle gym, seesaw and sandpit, under shady trees where children can play to their hearts’ content. Treasure hunts, games, a jumping castle or magician show can be provided by prior arrangement, at additional cost. Menus can be specially tailored to your needs for each unique occasion, from a candle-lit banquet or cocktail party to party packs for kids.
