Milkwood Manor

Description

Milkwood Manor is a Georgian-styled building designed for spaciousness, reflecting the vast unlimited landscape surrounding it. This is epitomized by the double-storey foyer, the large restaurant, private patios and balconies, and the large breakfast and sundowner terrace. These areas afford spectacular views over the Indian Ocean, the Keurbooms River Mouth, Keurbooms Lagoon and the Tsitsikamma Mountains.

There is a sense of vastness and freedom, not easily achieved elsewhere. The property forms a peninsula which protrudes into the river mouth and it has no neighbours but nature itself. Guests enjoy relaxing on the terrace, watching the bird life and especially the sea and mountains as they change constantly.

The manor features an upstairs lounge with satellite TV and free 24-hour Internet access, 12 well-appointed rooms with SABC TV, a bath or shower, panoramic views from the roof deck, a breakfast patio overlooking the lagoon and a large swimming pool. During most evenings in season, savory dinners are served at our popular in-house Thai restaurant, The Lemon Grass.

Fabulous!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Milkwood Manor. The rooms and house were well maintained, spotless, spacious, comfortable and we felt able to relax totally. Everyone made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely breakfast, enjoyed sitting out on the terrace. Views fantastic. Wish we hadn't pre booked our next accommodation as we would definitely have stayed longer! Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Milkwood Manor. The service was excellent, as was the food, particularly the Thai restaurant. Our room had a great view of the lagoon. The bird life both on the lagoon and in the garden was wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

Very well located close to the beach. We enjoyed it fully together with owner and staff friendly approach. Their helpful advice and recommendations on where to go and what to do in the area. In-house restuarant - Thai style is superb - our best recommendations!

Our host was extremely welcoming and informative, the accommodation was of very high standard and the location is out of this world.
