Description

Meerhof Lodge is a charming four star Lodge with self catering cottages. It has beautiful views over the water and onto the Magaliesberg mountains. The Lodge is situated opposite the Bird Sanctuary and offers wonderful bird life.

Cottages range from one to five bedroom units with lounge and kitchens, DSTV, air conditioning units and tea/coffee stations allowing for families and groups of various sizes to enjoy time-out in Harties.

We offer conferencing facilities for up to 30 delegates. The gardens have private bomas with braai/dining facilities as well as splash pools.

Meerhof Lodge is situated in the ‘Heart’ of Hartbeespoort or the Magalies Valley. Game Parks, Health spas and a great variety of activities all within 20-30 minutes drive from the Lodge.

Family: Spacious family rooms as well as self-catering units are available which are perfect for all those family getaways.

Conference venue: Conference facilities are available for parties of up to 30 guests.

Bayview Unit has five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower. All rooms have double beds and the family room has an additional two single beds. Bayview can be used for one large group or the rooms can be let individually. All rooms have DStv, fridge, tea and coffee stations and air-conditioning units. One of the rooms has a fireplace. There is a large lounge with fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. Balconies in front offer great views over the water and surrounding mountains.

The Manor House is full of character and set in a private garden, this thatched house has four en-suite bedrooms, two with double beds and two with twin beds. Rose Cottage is a heritage cottage which was on Boer war Gen Hendrik Schoemans farm. Thatched with two bedrooms; one with double and other twin singles or king-size bed, lounge with DStv. All air-conditioned. Kitchen and bathroom has a tub and separate shower, private garden with boma and braai, private garden shower for two. Jacuzzi splash pool heated in summer. Secured parking for two cars.

It is a great environment. The staff were very eager to please, which was a great pleasure. The main bed at the Rose Cottage needs to be changed; we ended up sleeping with the kids because it was uncomfortable and old. Otherwise, we had an okay stay. Many thanks.

We stayed in Rose cottage for 5 nights. The cottage is very charming and homely and Anna and the staff were very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.On a small negative point, although we are both dog lovers, it does state that the cottage has private pool and garden and to have 3 dogs fouling the garden daily was not expected and this made sunbathing on the grass unattractive.
