Mathakheni Village is a guest lodge, spa and function venue that is nestled in the tranquil farmlands of Lillyvale in Benoni, Gauteng. The objective of Mathakheni is to provide a place of rest for the soul, with emphasis on a comfortable, friendly and peaceful environment.

We offer well appointed individual thatched rondavels, each with its own garden to grace the setting. Each rondavel has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. As we are engaged in a self-sufficient, self-sustainable and Eco-friendly path, the solar gyser supplies hot water for the rondavels and our organic vegetable and herb garden supplies fresh produce to the kitchen and spa.

Though focused on a soulful experience, we are located only 20 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport, shopping malls such as Lakeside Mall, major casinos such as Emperor’s Palace or Carnival City, and the historical towns of Daveyton and Wattville, where Oliver Tambos grave site is. We are also close to the Benoni Museum and within driving distance of places such as The Craddle of Humankind, the Lion Park and Soweto. We work with a certified tour operator for all transportation needs.
