Mariner Guesthouse is built against the slopes of the Fynbos covered mountain in Simon’s Town. This historical harbour town is 45km from Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport, and situated in the greater Table Mountain National Park. With breathtaking views across False Bay and within walking distance of the centre of town and beaches, Mariner Guesthouse offers stylish elegance, comfort and friendly hospitality.

Sit back and relax on your private balcony whilst enjoying the colourful display of the sunset and watching the whales play in the bay. Later, experience true South African culture around the fire when we have our weekly “braai” (South African traditional “barbeque”) while your hosts share stories of life in South Africa.  A truly memorable and enriching evening!

Mariner Guesthouse is a beautifully decorated and luxurious guesthouse in Simon’s Town that nestles on the side of the mountain and has breathtaking views over the bay. So much thought and love has gone into creating this guesthouse which is more about being a warm haven for it’s guest rather than just somewhere to rest a head. The emphasis is on making the guests feel completely at home and this is evident in everything the hosts do. We were warmly welcomed with complimentary drinks enjoyed next to a burning fireplace which was the perfect welcome as it was storming outside. Our comfort and needs were top priority and the luxurious décor of our beautiful room and the guesthouse provided the perfect setting for us to relax and unwind. There is a great outside braai area where the hosts hold themed evenings to highlight different South African cuisine, offering foreign guests the opportunity to learn more about South African culture and mix and mingle with each other. This really is a special guesthouse that offers something different. Thank you Liezel, Pieter and Mari for a wonderful stay!
