Come and stay in our beautiful self-contained thatched home in the lovely foothills of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. Surrounded by open countryside and mountains with the unspoilt Mooi River running at the bottom of our sloping view site, a genuine warm friendly welcome awaits you where nothing is too much trouble.

Manwood Lodge review

We used Manwood Lodge as our "base" during a cycling event in Nottingham Road that we took part in. Manwood Lodge not only fully catered for our needs but provided a comfortable and scenic spot for us to rest our tired legs each evening. We will definitely visit again.

Manwood was exactly what we needed for our family of five. It was convenient in terms of area and position, not too close to the chaos of Nottingham Road but close enough to pop in and out when we wanted to. Alan and Christine are fantastic hosts, making the cottage a real home away from home, from the sherry on the table when we arrived to the bubble bath they put in the bathroom for the kids. We were warm and cosy inside and out in this lovely cottage!

I have stayed in lots of self-catering places over the years and Manmood Lodge has to be one of the best equipped and maintained. The owners are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It is perfectly situated in the heart of the Midlands allowing easy access to the surrounding areas. Superb views. Cannot recommend it enough.
