Manuelina 1 is a comfortable and secure double-story house situated in Ramsgate. Ramsgate is a quaint seaside village on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, situated about 4 km south of Margate.

The house consists of three bedrooms with ceiling fans, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a comfortable open-plan living area with ceiling fans, a private patio with a built-in braai unit and a double garage with direct access into the house. There is a washing machine in the garage for guests to use. The house has a TV and DStv, but guests are advised to bring their own card and decoder. The house has an alarm system and burglar bars as well as remote-control access for the electronic front gate.

Ramsgate is located on the mouth of a river, known for the bubbles caused by strong currents making it look as if the water is boiling. For the nature lover, there are a number of nature reserves in the vicinity of Ramsgate. Some, like the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, offer spectacular views and a wide variety of bird species.

Attractions and activities in Ramsgate include the fabulous beaches, the casino and crocodile farm. Enjoy boat trips, excellent fishing, golf, hiking, horse riding and scuba diving to name but a few.

It is a lovely place to stay in and you don't get the feeling that the owner put secondhand kitchen utensils and furniture in the unit. It was really lovely. The only problem that we had was that all the doors inside the unit have the lock mechanism that you push the middle button in to lock and unfortunately my daughter somehow pushed one of these buttons on the bathroom door and locked us all out of the bathroom. When we phoned the agent they tried to get a hold of the owner as there was no keys for these doors on the keyring, inside the unit, or at the agents or at the owner. The agent informed me that the owner said they must contact a locksmith and unfortunately it was not communicated to me before the time that I will have to carry the cost and pay the locksmith on arrival. Fortunately we had money on us to pay the locksmith but when I sms the agent regarding my dissatisfaction about the incident she said she will contact the owner the next day as I felt it was not for my cost as there was no keys available anywhere. Unfortunately up to date she has not yet gotten back to me. But otherwise it was a lovely unit and we had a lovely time.
