Mambova Lodge and Fishing Camp is situated in an idyllic position on the banks of the Zambezi in Zambia. This unique camp provides an amazing opportunity to really get away from it all and enjoy a simple self-catering or full board outdoor escape. Its unrivalled position and riverine landscape, with the constant gentle sounds of the Mambova rapids, complements the tranquility of the location and ensures visitors will wish to return time and time again.
This fishing lodge provides a pristine river environment on the banks of the mighty Zambezi. The camp is ideally positioned on the riverfront, and with an abundant fish variety including the infamous tiger fish plus the many other indigenous species, there is plenty of opportunity to test the avid angler. Fish by boat in front of the lodge or take a trip upstream to the main channel for a full day adventure. There are also boats available for hire with experienced boat hands. Alternatively, just step onto the jetty which runs along the river bank in front of the camp and cast off for a relaxed fishing experience. If you love fishing and the outdoor environment, you will be enthralled by this beautiful stretch of river which provides some of the finest fresh water angling in the region.
Mambova Lodge and Fishing Camp comprises a central thatched lapa with an adjacent plunge pool. The lapa constitutes a dining and recreation area, which includes bar facilities and satellite DStv television. There are four rustic twin bed timber A-frame chalets, each with hot and cold running shower and flush toilets plus an individual barbecue area. In addition, there are also three two-bedroom riverfront bungalows, all timber under thatch, with their own en-suite hot and cold shower and flushing toilet. Each unit has a self-catering cooking area and a fridge for storage of perishables.
