Majestic Boutique Hotel is situated in Quigney overlooking the East London harbour, the only South African harbour situated on a river mouth.

Great low-cost option

I had a very comfortable and clean room with a sea-facing view. The staff are helpful. A big breakfast was included. I will return.

The Majestic is a true old seaside hotel in the tradition of Fawlty Towers. If you expect Wi-Fi and room service with a gym and spa this is not for you, but if you are intrigued by mismatched tiles, interesting local bar characters, stucco ceilings and unfathomable layouts then give the Majestic a try. It definitely gets 5 Stars for character, if nothing else!
