Description

You’ll find Maguga Lodge in the heart of the Hhohho region in Swaziland and is ideally situated for proximity to the Kruger National Park as well as Mpumalanga Province and Mozambique. Overlooking the shimmering waters of Maguga Dam, the lodge offers the discerning traveler a tranquil retreat.

On offer is stunning accommodation; restaurant and bar; conferencing facilities; weddings and functions venue. Maguga Lodge is fresh, fun. It is the ideal destination to unwind and recapture that sense of calmness which is often lost in our day to day hustle and bustle.

For the adventure seekers, neighbouring Enkhaba Adventures offers the following activities: quad-biking; para-gliding; hiking; abseiling and canoeing. And for those who are not predisposed to adrenaline pumping through their veins; the bird life is rich and varied. Be on the looking for the Fish Eagle as well as Swallows.

Maguga Lodge is the ideal stop-over to exploring Northern Swaziland. The acclaimed Ngwenya Glass factory is within 30 minutes drive. The Peak Fine Craft Centre in Piggs Peak offers wares from Likhweti Kraft; Coral Stephens Hand Weaving; and Tinsaba Crafts. All products are the result of various community based projects aimed at empowering the local women. Maguga Lodge is people about people and truly invites you to stay a while.

We also offer the Shosholoza Boat Cruise for 1 hour at a price of R100 pp.

Very nice place to be in Swaziland

The lodge located in a beautiful place, the family unit divided into two bedrooms with an inside linking door. It was clean and very nice. There is no space for more than four people. The breakfast is very good.

We went camping in February 2011 and it is one of the best kept places we've ever been to. Sites are green with plush grass, electricity and water available. Very secure as well. Ablutions were neatly kept and the restuarant well priced. We paid R20 for four cups of coffee! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were fishing for bass and there is big bank angling potential. There was constant activity in the waters close to shore. The view from the restuarant over the dam wall ... more

I would rate this venue as a first class facility for over night accommodation.
