Hospitality is above what one can expect from the hosts, They make you feel at home.
They are such loving and caring people and a person who was travelling with kids I felt so secure in knowing that I can call them anytime and they will answer their phone with a very friendly smile (You can hear the smile on the phone Haa)

A bit about this place
Madadeni B&B, self catering accommodation, is based in the Kloof Gorge, cool and close to Hillcrest, just outside the heat of Durban.
We are positioned on the western region of Durban, on the east of South Africa. Our establishment is situated near the shops, restaurants, golf course, gym, catering for corporate and leisure stays.
You are on the door step of the blue flag beaches that embrace the warm waters of the Indian ocean while within 2 hours easy drive of the majestic Drankensburg mountain resorts and Northern Natal game parks.
Come walk in our garden, enjoy the ducks, geese and cats. Relax next to the pool in the forest environment.
We have 7 rooms making up 3 units, taking up to 12 adults with up to 10 children.

Two of the units have fully equipped kitchens(Stove, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Work Area & Sink) allowing you to prepare meals.
Security is of no concern, with a CCTV system, controlled gates and of course the geese help too!
Our 3 cats will come out to meet you and just love all the extra attention they get from guests.
Kloof is a leafy, up market village 25km (16ml) west of Durban at the top of Field’s Hill. The hill is a key section of the world-famous 90km (56ml) Comrades Marathon run annually between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, the KwaZulu-Natal provincial capital.
"Kloof" is the Afrikaans word for "gorge", and Kloof Gorge forms part of the beautiful Krantzkloof Nature Reserve with its rich birdlife including crowned eagles.
The attractive Everton Conservancy is also part of the Kloof area, and to crown these ecological attractions – the spectacular Valley of 1000 Hills Tourism Experience starts in Kloof.
Kloof is therefore a magnet for eco-tourists, but is also a welcome retreat for business executives visiting the nearby industrial areas of Pinetown and Hammarsdale.
Naturally this lush area offers only the very best of B&B guesthouse accommodation, usually set in park-like gardens.
Kloof Country Club golf course is also very welcoming to visitors. But a word of caution, if you want to stay in Kloof during the Comrades Marathon – be sure to book early!

Consists of a single unit, made up of 2 rooms.
Consisting of two rooms, a lounge, TV, PC area and queen bed (used for the children). The lounge has a wood fireplace and leads onto the well equipped kitchen.
There is only a small shower(sorry, no bath) , basin and toilet for the unit.
The other, much smaller room consists of a single bed.
Barry & Wendy, yours hosts, only allow the unit to be taken, even if you only wish the small room. Hence for a small room rate you get the entire unit.
Only 5 people MAX can stay in this unit at any one time and we suggest no more than 3 adults with children.

The Main House at Madadeni consists of two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed,a large lounge in which we have placed another queen bed, a small fully equipped kitchen, shower over a bath and a separate toilet. Internet access, DsTV, Fireplace, small garden, undercover parking and a maid to clean the house(laundry is at an extra cost) from Monday to Friday are included. You have access to the pool, forest, garden pond, rabbits, ducks, cats and other animals. Pets are welcome as your garden is fully fenced off from the rest of Madadeni.

This room is huge, it overlooks the garden containing Ducks, Geese, Rabbits and other wildlife. An excellent place to relax or work on that report while resting your eyes looking at who has come to drink at the pond.
If the cricket rugby or other sport is on, your large screen TV will keep you informed.
On the cold days get the fire going and enjoy a good bottle of red wine.
