Description
The Lugenda Wildlife Reserve, located in the Niassa Province of Northern Mozambique, is an untouched and undiscovered 42000 square kilometre expanse of wilderness.
Lugenda Wilderness Camp is situated within this magnificent reserve, on the eastern bank of the Lugenda River amongst the Ngalongue Mountains. The mountain holds several sacred sites, and Batwa paintings possibly dating back 4000 years have recently been found in the reserve.
We offer a very personalised service in a remote, exclusive wilderness destination. The area is well-suited to game drives, with game drives and game walks directed by qualified guides. It is a birders’ paradise and big game such as elephant, buffalo, hartebeest, eland, and zebra abound. Other game such as impala, wildebeest, hippo, lion, leopard, warthog, and spotted hyena can also be seen.
