The flat is situated on Lorraine Farm, deep within the picturesque Elgin Valley, approximately 90 km from the city of Cape Town. The area is one of the most intensively farmed districts of South Africa and produces 60% of the national apple crop.

Lorraine Farm was the first to convert from conventional to organic fruit farming in the Western Cape. Since the late 1990’s we have been producing certified organic apples, peaches and pears for a local and international consumption.

The flat has one bedroom with an open-plan kitchen and living area. The front stoep boasts a magnificent view of the Breevlei Dam and surrounding orchards.

This accommodation is the perfect launch pad to explore and discover this beautiful valley or simply experience life on a productive organic fruit farm.

Enjoyable stay

Lovely comfortable little cottage in a beautiful location. Has all necessary amenities. We stayed in mid-March and it was very cold at night so I would advise bringing warm clothes as the cottage is quite cold inside. However, extra blankets were provided, as was fresh organic apples and apple juice!
