Lone Creek River Lodge is situated in the picturesque country town of Sabie, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. Surrounded by unspoiled forests, mountain streams and waterfalls.

Lone Creek River Lodge offers comfortable and luxurious accommodation in the heart of the Drakensberg Escarpment, easily accessible from all major routes. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Sabie River valley and forests whilst dining on fine country cuisine prepared by our chefs. Dress code for breakfast, lunch and dinner is smart casual. Cool down or soak up the sun next to one of our two sparkling fresh-water pools. All our accommodation facilities are serviced daily and the amenities include hairdryers, coffee and tea facilities. Dinner is available by prior arrangement.

The Timber Lodges and the main Manor House are located on either side of the scenic road leading to the Lone Creek, Bridal Veil and Horse Shoe Falls. The double storey timber lodges consists of four units each: two downstairs B-units, suitable for two guests and two upstairs units A-units, suitable for a family of four or five. The A-units have fully-equipped kitchens with all cutlery and crockery, wooden decks with build-in braai barbeque, en-suite bathrooms bath and shower, loft room with twin beds, all linen and amenities, open log fireplace, fully serviced units and secure undercover parking. The B-units have a small kitchenette with microwave oven and bar fridge no stove, cutlery and crockery, portable braaier with no deck, en-suite bathroom with a shower or a bath, all linen and amenities, open log fireplace and secure undercover parking.

Stayed in River Suite 1. Had a fantastic long weekend stay. I would definitely recommend this to couples looking for a romantic getaway.

The people at Lone Creek River Lodge is amazingly friendly and courteous. Our lodge that we stayed in was comfortable and nice to stay in. The only problem that I had was that the lodges that we stayed in was not next to the river as led to believe. The lodges are not on the same premises as the actual hotel, but across the road (which is a very busy road). Unfortunately dinner wasn't worth the price charged but all and all it was still lovely.

We have been coming back to Lone Creek since 2001 - and it remains the best by far of any place we have stayed at. Absolutely beautiful and restful setting. The property is beautifully developed - and maintained. Staff are friendly. If you want a truly restful get away - you cannot beat this place.
