Description
Romantic, remote and wild. That is Lobo Wildlife Lodge, located in the north of Serengeti National Park - the most spectacular scenario of wildlife in its pure essence. Lobo Wildlife Lodge is a dream of romanticism in its remote location, strategically built into an enormous volcanic rocky outcrop. It is the largest lodge on the migration route where its elevated position means that the migration can be viewed from the comfort of a sun lounger; guests can watch and witness the migration even from the pool.
Artistically made of stone and local timber around clusters of large boulders, harmoniously merging with its surroundings, the lodge affords stunning views of the most amazing natural spectacle to be seen on earth. Lobo is ideally set on the migratory route of over one million wildebeest in their desperate struggle for survival. It is the first lodge on the way from Kenya to Tanzania, only 28 km from the Maasai Mara. Lobo Wildlife Lodge invites guests to an unforgettable safari experience from its privileged location, unrivalled by any other both for game viewing and scenery.
A waterhole below the lodge attracts a variety of wildlife during the day and is lit each evening, revealing an interesting array of nocturnal animals, providing a close encounter with the very authentic wildlife. All the lodge’s elegant guest rooms afford superb views of this unbelievable natural phenomenon, and the sumptuous swimming pool is situated on the very edge of the rock, offering uninterrupted views of the horizon.
Lobo Wildlife Lodge offers accommodation in spacious guest rooms offering stunning views over the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. Elegantly decorated in authentic traditional African style, the rooms are fully equipped with en-suite bathrooms and mosquito nets over the air vents. Some of the rooms have twin beds, others are double rooms with king-size beds, and interconnecting family rooms are also available. The irresistible swimming pool is situated on a wooden deck at the very front of the lodge, with superb views across the plains and hills.
The Fig Tree Restaurant, in its serene decoration made of rock and wood elements elegantly featuring the safari atmosphere, perfectly combines the international high standards of hospitality and service with exquisite exotic touches of local lifestyle. Our professional chefs, for whom cuisine is an art, make the delights of the most demanding gourmets both in international as well as local recipes.
The stunning Laguna Lounge Bar, located within the immediate vicinity of the restaurant, is set over two levels with an open log fire or al fresco; its wide terrace provides breathtaking views over the Park’s endless open spaces. This is the ideal place to enjoy the vast and clear African sky with a delicious cocktail, indulging your senses.
Come to know about the events that happen in the rest of the world in the TV lounge with DStv or take a piece of Safari home which you can acquire in the exclusive boutique and make ideal gifts for your beloved ones back home. The services of the hotel also include full housekeeping services, such as laundry and babysitting, on request, as well as communication facilities like telephone and radio. There is a currency exchange service, and major credit cards are accepted.
Nature lovers will enjoy wildlife in its pure essence through amazing activities such as day wildlife watching, game drives, photographic safaris, specialized migration safaris, ornithological safaris, hot-air balloon safaris, and romantic picnics in the wilderness.
