Likweti Lodge

Likweti Lodge is a privately owned game reserve and wildlife sanctuary offering visitors fantastic game viewing and luxury accommodation. Located in a malaria free area, only 25 minutes’ drive from Nelspruit, Likweti offers guests a tranquil bush experience with the opportunity of visiting the nearby world-renowned Kruger National Park.

The lodge boasts two Luxury Suites, each with its own private heated plunge pool, and eight Executive Rooms. The individually built rooms have been designed to offer guests maximum privacy together with magnificent views; all have private viewing decks complete with outdoor showers. The interiors have been furnished in an eclectic bush style and have all the necessary amenities including robes, slippers, hairdryers, gas fireplaces, bird and tree books, and complimentary sherry.

The common area of the lodge houses reception, a comfortable lounge with a gas fireplace and a fully licensed bar. The thatch covered, open air eating area leads off the lounge overlooking the pool and affords guests a 360 degree view of the sanctuary.

The Pezulu Restaurant at the lodge offers mouth-watering cuisine prepared from the freshest local ingredients, created with flair and passion by our culinary team. Coupled with an array of fine local wines from our cellar, the dining experience is sure to be a memorable one.

Likweti is home to three of the Big 5, namely white rhino, leopard and buffalo. It also includes the more elusive antelope like sable, eland and kudu. A host of general game can also be found on the sanctuary such as giraffe, wildebeest and zebra. The area is home to over 300 different bird species including the mysterious African finfoot.

Daily game drives depart from the lodge at 06h00 and 16h30 during the summer months and 06h30 and 16h00 during winter, and are conducted by professional rangers who are passionate about the sanctuary and its wildlife. Although conservation is a priority, we also work to enhance peoples' awareness of the benefits of Eco Tourism.
