"Liefling" Guest Cottages are located in the small town of Calitzdorp, situated in the Little Karoo of South Africa. Calitzdorp is known as South Africa's Port Wine Capital.
We are only 700 meters from the famous Scenic Route 62 and only 1km from Town. Calitzdorp is only 1,5hrs from George or 4.5hrs drive from Cape Town.

Character: Our cottages are decorated in a Country/Karoo style with Meditteranean touches. Your hosts are pasionate about making handmade tiles.We have a small garden restaurant with a traditional wood fired pizza oven set amongst olive trees.

This unit is our "antique" cottage with lovely country charm. The unit is air conditioned, has a wall heater for the winters, has a small self catering kitchen with 2 plate stove, microwave, bar fridge, kithen sink and basic crockery. The cottage has a patio looking onto the plunge pool and olive garden. The bathroom is en-suite (shower), wash basin and toilet.

Cute and rustic

We had a very nice overnight stay in a very cute, rustic cottage that was anything but rustic in comfort. All one's needs are catered for. Do buy the shortbread - it is divine! I will definitely be back but for longer than just one night!

Liefling Guest Cottages was a wonderful haven in Calitzdorp with pool, air-con so welcome in the heat of summer. The cottage was perfect with authentic touches of old Karoo and kind and relaxed hosts. Will definitely recommend!
