Description

The thing that is always amazing about being on a farm is the sound of silence. You realise something is different the constant hum of city life is gone and the peace and quiet is something you can really feel. That’s when you notice other, more calming sounds the hens and their little chicks cheep-cheeping around the garden, the goats and sheep, the guinea pigs, and the many different calls from the birds lining the branches of the trees.

Sample a true taste of country life, join in feeding the animals with the children, walk hand-in-hand through the fields, watch the wildlife, learn about real people’s lives on a working farm.

Our thatched, self-catering, cottage is spacious and sleeps six. It is clean, cosy and warm with the added attraction of an open fire and a private lapa. There is plenty to see and do on the farm.

We offer you a comfortable and homely base with many attractions a short drive away, but you can of course come here and do absolutely nothing. We don’t mind. Just imagine the peace and tranquillity, with a log fire and a night full of stars.

Family: Animals are plentiful and varied. Our animals are people-friendly. We also offer pick your own eggs - subject to availability. The farm is ideal for families to enjoy the outdoors together.

Working Holidays: Experience farm life at it's best. No tedious paperwork here. Be prepared to get your hands dirty, there are eggs to be collected, animals to be fed. A farmer's work is never done.

Thanks Bernard and Michelle, Stefan and little Ruan. We enjoyed the stay, we were made comfortable like old friends and the kids had a ball with the animals, especially the lambs and the last Rinkhals of the season. Will definitely recommend the establishment for a relaxing break on the way to the coast or on its own.

Hi. i actually booked this place for my mates who were doing some work in the area. They were very impressed with their stay even though it was a short one. the hosts were very kind and hospitable and the cottage had every conceivable item that you could think of. Will definitely make use of this cottage in the future.

Our son is high functioning autistic, aged 17. Michelle and Bernard went out of their way to make him feel comfortable and wanted, inviting him to watch the rugby with them. For my husband and I it was just what the doctor ordered. Tranquility and serenity. Thank you for an enjoyable time.
