The Reserve is home to numerous red data species of mammal and other wildlife and an amazing number of more than 320 bird species.
You may wish to venture to the nearby World Natural Heritage Site, The Greater Saint Lucia Wetland Park , where five distinct ecosystems meet to form a wonderland of ecological diversity to be found no where else in South Africa.
In the north of the park, the warm sea, lush forests on tall dunes, long unspoilt sandy beaches and coral reefs of the marine reserve at Sodwana Bay, are reputed to be some of the best in the World.
