Lekwena Ranch

Lekwena Ranch, situated in the majestic Waterberg mountain range, is a peaceful breakaway retreat for people who seek tranquility and enjoy the diversity of nature. This habitat is below the escarpment and boasts a great diversity of trees interspersed with open grassland, koppies with loose boulders and rock, and many streams and small periodic rivers. Predominant tree species include wild seringa, silver cluster leaf, monkey orange and stamvrug, while bird life include white helmet shrike, black crowned tchagra, yellow-bellied greenbul and much more.

At Lekwena Ranch you can experience nature at its best; the wildlife includes giraffe, eland, kudu, zebra, blue wildbeest, impala, blesbuck, reedbuck, klipspringer, common duiker, steenbuck, bushbuck, monkeys, and baboons. We also offer farming activities and you can experience a bit of sheep and cattle farming as well.

We are situated within 150 km from Pretoria, in a malaria-free area. Our Country House is nestled within the koppies, with a majestic view, and offers self-catering accommodation with en-suite facilities for up to four guests. The Country House contains two bedrooms; one with a queen-size bed and the other with twin single beds. Both of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and the lounge area includes a TV with DStv. Sundowners can be enjoyed on the patio and there is also an outdoor barbecue area.

Game drives, horse trails and guided quad bike rides are available by prior arrangement. There are also various hiking trails for guests to enjoy. In addition, bring your own mountain bikes as there are various gravel roads available for the mountain biking enthusiast as well as for beginners.
