Lang Elsies Kraal Rest Camp Bontebok SANParks

Due to miscommunication we did not stay at Lang Elsies Kraal as I was under the impression that we booked a cabin (look at photo always with the email!) WE WERE NOT EQUIPPED TO STAY THERE AS WE DID NOT HAVE ANY CAMPING GEAR WITH US. We had a two week tour through the Klein Karoo and stayed in lodges and B&B's the whole time. This was really a misunderstanding and very unfortunate and we paid for the 2 night stay. We had no choice but to get alternative accommodation. Lang Elsies Kraal is not willing to refund us for the misunderstanding.

Establishment's response

Thank you for the feedback. At reception as far as ic an recall is a sign which states that a “picnic” basket with utensils, kettle post and pan can be hired for R12.00 a day.

My feedback would be that I would advise the agent to inform the client of that type of accommodation they would be using.( this is what I am doing when quoting the client copying and pasting the description of the unit.)
