Nestled against Vryheid Mountain, Lancaster Lodge is a hideaway bed and breakfast where guests are treated to nature at its best. If you are looking for a top-quality, family-run B&B with lots of character and excellent breakfasts, Lancaster Lodge is the place for you.

Guests have a choice of staying in the Dolerite Suite, the Ou Klip Suite, the Sandstone Suite, the Quarterzite Suite or two basic Fossilwood Cabins. All four suites are equipped with heaters, TVs with DStv, bar fridges, Internet access and tea and coffee facilities. The bedrooms are furnished with either two single beds, a double bed or a queen-size bed. The Dolerite Suite, Ou Klip Suite and Quarterzite Suite have en-suite bathrooms while the Sandstone Suite has a separate private bathroom. The Fossilwood Cabins are furnished with two single beds each and they share the use of separate women’s and men’s bathrooms with showers and toilets. Tea and coffee facilities are available.

The lodge offers the ideal setting for weddings, conferences and other functions and the bistro is ideal for smaller functions and business meetings. The hall is permanently draped with white organza and fairy lights; combined with a contemporary bar area and well-equipped kitchen creates the ideal venue. Located just 2 km from Vryheid, it is easy to take care of business and still enjoy the peace and tranquility.

We found the establishment beyond our expectations. The setting of the lodge in the mountain above the Town of Vryheid add to its charm. From the friendly welcome to the splendid clean and comfortable rooms and the 5star breakfast, you know you are well cared for. Your senses are in for a treat too, as you are close to two waterfalls. The sound of mountain streams and birdsong compete to let you feel relaxed and refreshed. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

The hosts are wonderful people ,they made the stay even better. So friendly and helpful ,constantly making sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. I would recommend Lancaster lodge for any tipe of traveller ,young and old ,they cator for all! And for the more Adventurous as well, Swimming at the waterfall.

Wedding Venues: There is a beautiful hall with a bar and a fully equipped kitchen is available for that special day.

Conference Venues: Conference facilities are available. We have a large pull-down screen, digital projector, and a Wi-Fi.

Honeymoon: Luxury Quartzite suite, secluded, with beautiful bush views. Close walk to waterfall and dam. Well stocked honesty fridge in suite.
