Description
Hout Bay is a picturesque fishing village and is situated ca 20 km outside Cape Town City. The harbour is an important market for fish and spiny lobster. Close to the harbour is Marinas Wharf with a great number of coffee shops and fish restaurants. Trips to view sundown and deep sea fishing charters are only two of the many choices offered. There are also boat trips to see Rob-island and the ship wreck.
The view from Chapman's Peak over Hout Bay is spectacular. this is one of the most spectacular coastal roads in the world. The green valley, with its oak trees, is known for its horse breeders. Horseback riding and riding lessons are provided at the horse breeders. A big attraction in Hout Bay is World of Birds. According to its brochure this is the biggest bird park in South Africa with more than 500 different species. You can reach World of Birds on foot in 10 minutes. Kronendal Heritage: Kronendal Heritage is a magnificent Country Estate, dating back to 1880 and built in the old Cape Dutch style, surrounded by wonderfully kept landscape gardens.
Over the past years the estate has been lovingly renovated. The house offers all the comforts of Western European standards. The bathrooms in particular were carefully renovated to fit with the mansion's historical value. Swimming Pool: The pool (15 m x 3 m) in the middle of Kronendal's magnificent garden is bathed in sunlight all day and comes fully equipped with lounge chairs, umbrellas and bath towels. The pool is equipped with a jet stream for underwater massage.
The Garden: The whole Estate is surrounded by old palm trees and indigenous plants. The complex irrigation system in combination with the freshwater of our own borehole makes sure, that all plants thrive and prosper throughout the year.

The Brutus is a spacious and luxurious Villa appartment, with self-catering, a big dining room where 8 (eight) people can entertain themselves. It has a huge kitchen and is equipped with all the utensils needed. The living area has a Baby Grand Piano to play on if you choose too, the fireplace can be lit and it is cosy to snuggle-up to someone special infron of it and sipping wine. The Brutus has it's own private garden and swimming pool. Daily cleaning of the Villa is included with the price, as well as daily clean and refreshed towels.
