At the foot of the Helderberg Mountain, set in a park-like garden, you will find Krönstadt Villa, an elegant four-bedroom retreat offering the ideal setting to unwind in a relaxing atmosphere.

The guest house offers three double rooms and one twin room. One of the double rooms together with the twin room forms an ideal family wing. Two of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms while the other has a private bathroom. The formal sitting room has a fireplace to enjoy during the Cape winters. The separate TV room leads to an undercover patio where breakfast is served during the summer. There are various seating arrangements on sun-drenched patios and throughout the garden to ensure guests' privacy.

The facilities we offer include a swimming pool with a barbecue area and a tennis court. Breakfast is provided and on Friday evenings we would like to treat you to typical South African cuisine.

Krönstadt Villa is ideally situated for easy walks in the Helderberg Nature Reserve, close to beaches, harbours and historic Stellenbosch with its wine route. Somerset West also boasts its own Helderberg wine route and famous historic farms like Vergelegen, Fleur du Cap and Morgenster are nestled on the perimeter of the village. There is a choice of world class golf courses, all just a few minutes away, including Erinvale which hosted the World Cup tournament during 1996.

We are only a 20-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport and 30 minutes from the city of Cape Town and the V & A Waterfront.
