Kings Camp

Kings Camp is situated in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve adjacent and open to the Kruger National Park. It is positioned on the edge of a savannah plain scattered with acacia trees, offering gracious hospitality in a unique romantic ambience. It invites guests to relax in fine colonial style.

The camp offers a choice of nine spacious Luxury Suites, two exquisite Honeymoon Suites and the Waterbuck Private Camp for ultimate privacy. All the suites are furnished with comfortable double beds and have en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers. Each suite is air-conditioned, heated and equipped with a fully stocked minibar, tea and coffee facilities, robes, a hairdryer, torch, an umbrella, mosquito repellent, a safe and telephone. Each Honeymoon Suites also enjoys the privacy of its own swimming pool overlooking the African bush. Three meals are served daily and we offer two game drives per day with refreshments and optional walking safaris which are included in the rates.

The Waterbuck Private Camp offers the ultimate private safari experience and is ideal for a group of eight. This four-bedroom villa is fully equipped for self-catering and comes with its own Land Rover and game ranger, as well as a personal butler and chef to take care of your every need. This camp is situated on the banks of the dry Nhlaralumi River and offers great views of the bush with excellent game viewing opportunities.

Guest can enjoy their meals in the dining room which offers stunning views of the bushveld. The camp also has a well-equipped gym and those who want to be pampered can choose between a range of pampering treatments. Relax in the comfortable lounge, enjoy a drink in the bar or cool off in the swimming pool and relax around the traditional boma at night to watch the millions of stars while listening to the sounds of the game reserve. Souvenirs can also be bought at the curio shop.

The reserve is a wildlife haven which boasts a diversity of animal life including the Big 5 and the famous white lions. Guests can go on morning or afternoon game drives, a walking safari with a knowledgeable ranger, a helicopter trip over the Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window, or a hot air balloon flight at sunrise. We also offer Elephant Back Safaris or visits to the Kapama Cheetah Breeding Project to view over 60 cheetahs, including the rare king cheetah. A waterhole located right in front of the camp attracts a wide variety of wildlife, day and night, for your viewing pleasure.
