Long Beach, Kommetjie is one of South Africa's premier surf beaches and is situated on the scenic drive between Cape Town and Cape Point Nature Reserve. Close to golf courses, wine routes and the latest Shopping Mall. Kilchurn Castle is a convenient location for the Argus Cycle Tour and Two Oceans Marathon. Kommetjie's beaches offer excellent swimming, surfing, wind-surfing, walks and relaxation. There are many hiking trails within close proximity to Kommetjie, on the Mountains behind or in the Silvermine Nature Reserve a short distance away. Silvermine has one of the most spectacular hikes that will take you to the top of Silvermine and let you look down into the Republic of Hout Bay and over one of the world's famous scenic drives Chapman's Peak drive. Noordhoek is 8km from Kommetjie with Long Beach Shopping Centre containing major retail stores, a large Pick 'n Pay supermarket, restaurants and cinemas. The coastal towns of Simon's Town, Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay are 10-15km away and offer many seafood restaurants, coffee houses and curio shops. Accommodation consists of one self-catering apartment sleeping two adults, with separate entrance, kitchenette and bathroom en-suite; leading onto private garden. Safe parking in cul-de-sac.
