Riebeek Kasteel lies in the heart of the Riebeek Valley on the slopes of the Kasteelberg and is believed to be one of the oldest villages in South Africa. In this lovely village, travellers will find Kia Kasteel.
Kia Kasteel is a stylish self-catering house situated on a hill that overlooks Riebeek Kasteel. The house offers three bedrooms, two of which are downstairs and furnished with double beds. One room has a bath and the other a shower en-suite. The upstairs room is furnished with two single beds and has an en-suite room with a bath only. The loft is furnished with two single beds and shares the upstairs bathroom if it is used. Comfortably furnished, the lounge has a fireplace and is equipped with a TV with DStv. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and braai facilities are available on the back porch.
Unfortunately no pets are allowed, as 'Springbok' graze in the field behind the house. Please note that the house contains stairs and Kia Kasteel cannot be held responsible for any injuries.
Kia Kasteel is situated five minutes from the village centre where various restaurants, pubs, wineries and shops can be found. For the hikers, Groot Winterhoek Wilderness area offer extraordinary rock formations and popular hiking routes. A variety of fynbos and animals can be seen here.
