Khandizwe River Lodge

Captivatingly set on the banks of the Crocodile River with breathtaking views of the adjoining Kruger National Park, Khandizwe's uncompromised standards of excellence and fine devotion to detail have earned this exceptional "exclusive use" destination a prestigious 5 Star grading.

Khandizwe offers four masterfully appointed en-suite bedrooms, each equipped with a fully stocked minibar, beverage tray, air-conditioning, overhead fan, hairdryer, bathrobe, and fine linen. With the emphasis on privacy, tranquility and seclusion, the lodge can only be booked as a complete unit, and as such every booking enjoys the sole and exclusive use of the entire lodge, including the use of our two housekeepers. Exclusive use bookings are not restricted to larger groups only - the lodge is available on this basis to any booking that comprises two or more guests, up to a maximum of eight.

Guests may elect to visit one of the many restaurants in the area, or may wish to self-cater in our modern, fully equipped kitchen. By prior arrangement, and at a small surcharge, breakfast will gladly be served on our terrace to the sights and sounds of the resident hippo family frolicking in the Crocodile River below the lodge. Our game viewing deck provides the ideal vantage point to observe the regular occurrence of elephant and buffalo feeding in the reeds in front of the lodge.

The Malelane Gate, the southern gateway into the Kruger National Park, is a mere five minutes away from Khandizwe. Guests may elect to self-drive into the Kruger via the Malelane Gate, or we can arrange specialised safari excursions in search of Africa’s Big 5. These open vehicle game excursions include either morning, afternoon or full day trips. We are also able to arrange bush walks and night drives inside the Kruger National Park.
