Kayanzee Lodge, situated on the Vaal River, provides a perfect escape from the urban sprawl. The lodge offers selfcatering accommodation with four rooms, two with a double bed, and two with a double and single bed. Each bedroom is unique,private and special in character with it’s own bathroom which includes its own bath towels, satellite television, heater and electric blankets and coffee and tea-making facilities.
The lodge offers lovely surroundings to help you relax and rejuvenate mind and soul. Outside is a fantastic wooden deck overlooking the river, complete with a barbecue facility, a sparkling swimming pool, and a cosy boma fireplace. Indoor features include a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering and an indoor barbecue facility in case it rains.
The Vaal is studded with tree-covered islands, of which several have been developed into pleasure resorts. Despite being so close to the most industrialized part of South Africa, much of the Vaal River is renowned for its beauty and the opportunity it provides for a restful escape. Set in an area of excellent bird life, with the added attraction of wild life around it, there is the obvious advantage of bird watching, fishing, and game viewing at hand, and many other outdoor activities can also be arranged.
Kayanzee Lodge is situated in a fenced estate with game like zebras, Blouwildebees and blesbok.
