Facilities

Katberg Eco Golf Estate and Hotel offers comfortable accommodation in both self-catering and bed and breakfast units, combined with an 18-hole championship golf course. The estate offers 33 Rooms in the hotel, 12 Self-catering Villas, and nine Family Units.

The large property not only features a golf estate, but guests can also spend time at the La Royale Mountain Spa or visit the private game reserve. For the business traveller, we also offer conference facilities for up to 150 delegates in a serene environment.

The small town of Katberg is only a short drive from Hogsback, where you will find clear rivers, soft green valleys and forested ravines. The area also offers a variety of dams ideal for fishing and boasts a number of hiking trails.

The cottage was comfy. Pity no airconditioners. Lunch at the hotel was poor. Dining hall extremely hot and staff not very professional.

The family hotel rooms we were booked in was very old. The bathroom was ancient with a terrible shower inside the bath and a curtain. We felt like we went into a hotel built and designed in 1970 and never upgraded. We were the only people in that section of the hotel and they forgot to put on the geysers so we had no hot water. There was only one little oil heater and on requesting another one it took us requesting a second time before they miraculously found us another one. Our rescue came from one of the supervisors in the kitchen. She moved us to a self catering cottage, which was beautiful and up to standard for the price we were paying. The buffet dinner and breakfast was excellent! Don't book a hotel room for a family. Book the self catering cottage and include the meals.
