Description
Karula Lodge is a small, intimate game lodge built to host a maximum of 14 people (7 tents). The individually named units nestle discretely under a canopy of trees in the natural bush to ensure solitude and privacy. Each Tent is built on a wooden platform raised in the trees on sturdy stilts. The lodge is fully electrified & all tents have their own en suite bathroom & private deck. You have a choice of twin, double or queen sized beds. All bedrooms are fully insect proofed as we are situated in a low risk malaria area. We have spared no effort to ensure great comfort. The Tents are all equipped with fans for the warm summer days & heaters & electric blankets for those chilly winter nights so that at all times you enjoy a comfortable temperature in your room. We also provide Tea/Coffee facilities, hair dryer & fridge in each unit to add to your comfort. For the perfect end to an exciting & fascinating day join us for dinner around the fire in our traditional boma. You may hear the call of Hyena & Lions as they communicate their intentions to one another while you catch up on the day's events. At Karula Lodge a day's activities may include: Early Morning Big 5 Game drives in open Safari Vehicles within the reserve. Two per day one in the early morning and another in the late afternoon into early evening. Game drives on Karula Lodge are in an open air vehicle. Walk to our hides and spend a peaceful time watching birds and any animal activity that may occur at the waterholes. Enjoy sundowners as you watch the sun drop behind the majestic Drakensburg Mountains during the early evening game drive. Above all we encourage you to experience the wonders of our world for yourself at your leisure. This is Karula Lodge , a place of freedom and peace. Children +12 are welcome.
