Steytlerville in the Karoo has always been renowned for its fine angora goats. Of late, there is a new sensation bringing visitors from all over the world to see an outrageously spectacular dinner show in the recently revived Art Deco hotel just outside of town.
You have arrived at your private oasis of style, glitz, laughter and honest food. An unpretentious welcome by our entourage of furry four legged friends assures that you are made to feel completely at home. Put your feet up and relax on one of the deep comfort couches on our stoep. Be entranced by the tranquillity. Cleanse your lungs inhaling the purest karoo air. Embrace the space and magnificent views of wide open plains and surrounding mountains. Enjoy our garden, manicured lawns and the sparkling pool, or take a sunset stroll to our dam where you can observe the abundance of bird life.
Oscar’s private bar, reserved for residents only, boasts an antique snooker table which may entice you to engage in a game and rediscover your skills whilst quenching your thirst.
On week nights, dinner is a la carte. Jacque’s menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, including vegan and vegetarian which he lovingly prepares himself. Whilst dining, you may request that Mark serenades you on his Bluethner grand piano, and Jacques may even render a song or two. As a dessert, nothing can quite match Jacque’s freshly made waffles and homemade ice cream drizzled with syrup.
Every Saturday night “Grimaldi’s Theatre Hall” is abuzz with excitement as guests are treated to a delectable three course, candle lit dinner together with a sleek and glitzy show. “The Steytlerville Follies” is presented by Freddy Ferrari and stars the legendary Karoovian diva, Dame Leyla Lamborgini.
Before you retire experience the joyful extravaganza of a star filled sky. Perfect preambles to a most comfortable and refreshing sleep.

Character: An interesting and unusually flamboyant American art deco building laid out with a Mexican flair. The furnishings are plush and eclectic with the emphasis on theatrical finishes.

Location: Out of town on a farm where peace and tranquillity prevails.
Fun: The one and only theatrical hotel in South Africa. We go out of our way to entertain you. Whilst dining, you may be serenaded by Mark with some fine piano music and on Saturdays, we host the show "The Steytlerville Follies".

Wedding Venues: We cater to suit your budget for small weddings of up to 60 guests.
Disabled Friendly: We are wheelchair friendly and there is a special room available where the bathroom has hand rails, a walk-in shower and a raised toilet.
Pets Permitted: We are small pet friendly, providing that they are well behaved and tolerant of other dogs, cats and free roaming chickens. We have 14 cats, five dogs and three chickens.
Outstanding Views: The hotel is elevated and it has magnificent wrap-around views over the town and the Baviaans and Winterhoek mountains with Cockscomb looming in the background.
Food: Good wholesome home cooked South African food.
