Kaminassie Cottage is situated in the quaint Victorian village of De Rust, just 35 km from Oudtshoorn. The restored cottage, with a rustic feel, is great for a quiet getaway and is conveniently located within walking distance from shops and restaurants.

Accommodation is offered for up to six people in two double bedrooms, with two additional single beds provided in the living area. The single bathroom has a bath and shower and the cottage-style kitchen is fully equipped with everything required for a self-catering holiday. Features include a private central courtyard with a barbecue facility and outdoor shower - great for relaxing in the Klein Karoo sun, or showering under the starry night sky. The front of the cottage boasts a lovely verandah, perfect for just watching the world go by, and the perimeter is fenced, with off-street parking also provided.

The elevated position above the village affords great views of the Swartberg mountains, hills, and farmlands in all directions, and the area is great for exploring the back roads and spectacular mountain passes. Activities include walking in the surrounding hills and mountains, mountain biking and swimming in the local streams and waterfalls. Day trips to Oudtshoorn, Calitzdorp and Prince Albert and Beaufort West are recommended, as well as visits to the Cango Wildlife Ranch and the famous Cango Caves, with the coast just an hour away.
