A very quiet and peaceful lodge. Not a lot to do for children, but great for adults. We enjoyed our stay and the owners Ronnie and Elsabe are two wonderful hosts, they made us feel very welcome. If we go to Namibia again we would definitely visit again.

We arrived at Bushbreaks after a long journey of more than 1300 km, so you can imagine how tired we were, but after a few minutes there we did' nt even feel the exhaustion any more. Tonnie and Elsabe were very friendly and we had a fantastic home cooked meal. The bungalow was spotless. We met a German couple there and made 2 new friends. Thank you for booking us there. If we travel in that direction again we will definitely stay.

This was possibly the best night out of 8 different establishments over the past month and I would recommend this place to anyone.

A bit about this place
The Kalahari Desert is a vast sandveld region which extends over central and western Botswana into eastern Namibia and the Northern Cape. Although generally described as a desert, the typical Kalahari landscape is surprisingly well-vegetated.
You can relax in comfort while taking in a unique and unspoilt landscape- certainly the best of both worlds.
The garden is shaded by worm-barkfalse-thorn trees (Albizia Anthelmintica) and overlooks a floodlit waterhole where game and birds flock during the day. Natural building materials were used.
The colours and patterns have an African feel and traditional Namibian cosiness. You are looked after by a husband and wife team assisted by well trained, friendly staff conversant in various European and African languages.
The three-levelled thatched complex and 2 Chalets can accommodate up to sixteen people (plus 2 guides) sharing. There are eight bedrooms, two which are equipped with double beds, and all have en-suite bathrooms.
The partly covered lapa can be referred to as the 'heart' of the guest house with open fireplace, a kitchen and bar facilities.
Kalahari Bush Breaks allows you to choose a wide range of adventures. We are convinced that you will fall in love with the deafening tranquillity and that your impressions will be unforgettable!
Even stargazing, whilst lying flat on your blankets under the brilliant starlit skies, will take on a whole new meaning. Armed with a hamper of goodies, couples can break away for either an exclusive picnic lunch in the tree-house, or even spend the night under the stars, amply protected by cuddly duvets, lanterns and mosquito netting.
