The Meals:
You can, if you desire, take your meals at the farm situated at five minutes walking distance from Kuangukuangu (you must check in advance that your hosts will be able to accommodate you). The food and the warm welcome they offer are exceptional. You will be treated to such delicacies as excellent oryx steak, ginger spiced pumpkin soup, or delicious milk-tart (a Southern African speciality).
The Game Drive:
You can also ask us to accompany you on a game-drive (pre-booking required). The farm has a rich fauna and flora. You will have the opportunity to see oryxs, warthogs, ostriches, horses, wild squirrels, des suricates and jackals, just to mention a few.
Also possible (pre-booking required): round trip to Sossusvlei, safaris to nearby attractions (Spreetshoogte, Naukluft, Kuiseb Canyon ...)
Hikes and Treks:
Kuangukuangu is surrounded by a mountain range, a veritable natural geological marvel (gigantic rocks shaped by the climatic changes), which you can explore on foot (the dry river bed passes just behind). These rocky formations will reveal stunning and eccentric surprises to the attentive observer.
Rates:
Accommodation: R1000 per night per Cabin.
Kuangukuangu-Luxury Cabin is designed for a maximum of 2 people, this means no other tourists in sight and peace and solitude is guaranteed! (if you are more, you might be able to find accommodation for the others of your group at the farm, situated at five minutes walking distance from Kuangukuangu).
Meals and optional activities:
Dinner at the farm: R180 per person, drinks and wine included
Breakfast at the farm: R55 per person
Lunch pack (home made sandwiches, vegetables etc): R40 per person
Braai pack to BBQ yourselves at Kuangukuangu (potatoes, sausage, piece of meat): R45 per person
